Chapter 2: Randomization and Hypothesis Testing

This section is intended to introduce the importance of randomization in experiments and review basic ideas of hypothesis testing. Desired outcomes:

• Students will know how to use randomization to eliminate bias and confounding.
• Students will understand the role randomization has in statistical inference.
• Students will review and understand basic \(t\)-procedures.
